And speaking of Trader Joe’s

How do you all feel about two-buck Chuck? Yay or nay?

The reason I ask is, today our company travel agent was lamenting the lack of Trader Joe’s in her neighborhood because she really wants to buy wine for two dollars. Meh. I use it in cooking…sometimes.

Here’s a picture of our dinner tonight, a pizza made entirely of Trader Joe’s goodies that I bought Tuesday night. We also had some wine we got on Saturday night from the wine release party we went to. Yums all around.

  • Allan says:

The wine isn’t bad, considering what you pay for it.

  • meredith says:

I think if it works for your palette, go with it. I like well vodka – Smirnoff being my fave. And the expensive stuff being a waste of money.

Of course, my grandmother, my senior year of high school admonished me for throwing up Absolute. Her advice being to never throw up the good stuff. So cheap booze may be in my genes.

  • kris says:

It isn’t all that bad! Not a first choice, but not bad for backup in my nonexistent pantry. 😉

That pizza, however, looks first rate, and would pair nicely with a two-buck pinot noir . . .

  • Oh, I Adore Two Buck Chuck! And I know My Wines, having worked in The Food And Beverage Industry for 15 Years. (I also know My Vodkas and can easily Name A Vodka Brand By Taste, Blindfolded. Stoli is My Fave.) Two Buck Chuck is Great for Dinner Parties and Casual Glasses At Home. I wouldn’t Bring It as A Housewarming Gift, though.

  • Alison says:

I like it, but then I got used to drinking 3-euro wines in France. That would make it Four Buck Chuck, though.

So yeah, what Allan and Randi said.
