Please, please tell me now

…what do you never leave Trader Joe’s without? I want to add to my shopping list.

My staples are:

Kettle brand baked potato chips (honey BBQ is my favorite)
wasabi peas (they hurt my nose but I love them)
freshly diced onions (no more tears!)
frozen mashed potatoes (mashed potatoes without the wait!)
Trader Ming’s Citrus Glazed Chicken with rice (and cashews that I am allergic to, so I leave them off)
Luna bars (Nutz Over Chocolate)

So, what do you like?

  • I Never Leave with out a bag of Fully Cooked Edemame, Wine of some sort, Steel-Cut Oatmeal, and One Of Their Boxed Soups (current fave is Roasted Pepper and Tomato, but I like Butternut Squash, too)

  • Jeff's Place says:

    Frozen Veggies (Microwave in minutes)
TJ’s Fettucini (I can’t remember the exact name but…OH MY!) Mandrin Orange Chicken (Had it tonight!)
Last but not least, Buckthorn Cider…Big bottle, YUM!

  • Jenni says:

I never leave without some form of beer (they really have the greatest prices), multigrain sourdough bread, and various cheeses (again, great prices!).

  • Neil says:

    That Italian Grapefruit soda.

  • Paige says:

Why do wasabi peas hurt your nose?
I love the pirate booty. Oh, and the merengue cookies with chocolate chips (if you eat the whole bucket, it is only 12 points on Weight Watchers) Then you can eat the shrimp stirfry (the whole bag is like 1 point on Weight Watchers) so maybe you can still afford a kit kat for dessert.

  • Alison says:

We usually end up with some cheese, maybe some pizza dough, occasionally some wine, and coffee.

But we only get there about once every two-three months. And each time, we drop about $120.

i was just at TJs last night. i never leave there without a bottle of wine and some soft cheese. such good prices! i am a huge fan of the light popcorn. great snack.

  • Allan says:

We also buy a couple of bags of frozen haricots vert (French green beans).

  • music_mama says:

    Ciabatta rolls
    Pesto Sundried tomato torte
    thinly sliced roast beef

Warm the ciabatta in the oven, use the torte as a spread, now you’ve made the yummiest sandwich.

nuts and trail mix w/cranberries. best price around.

  • Dawn says:

we don’t have Trader Joe’s where i live. and the more i hear about it, the more i get bummed that we don’t. =/

  • Kristin says:

    Mandarin Orange Chicken
    Tuna Steaks
    Cracked Wheat Sourdough Bread
Some type of spread substance w/cream cheese, pesto, and sundried tomatoes YUM
    Trader Joe’s 21 Seasoning Spice

  • Junia says:

Pirate Booty – the cheapest you will find
Butter – sounds weird, but I’m picky about butter and its high quality and about $3+ cheaper than the Challenge I usually buy. I walk out with about 6 boxes.
    Dark chocolate…must I say more?

if you like kettle chips, you would absolutely die for zapp’s. have you ever had them? they’re made in southern louisana and have fun flavors like gator dill, etc. the salt and vinegar chips are heaven on earth.

i knew it! my mouth is watering.

  • Suzanne La Fleur says:

What are those tasty things called…I think ‘Snapeas’. Crunchy-like, light pea flavored snacks. Super good. The Trader Joes sparkling wine is good for mango mimosas too! For a quick party appetizer, frozen spanikopita is not bad.
