It’s beginning to taste a lot like Christmas

As I type, I am enjoying my first gingerbread latte of the season. This is the one holiday-related item I don’t mind arriving too early in the year, unlike the Christmas carols I heard last week in the Hallmark store. Can we at least wait until after Halloween for that? But the gingerbread latte? It can’t come soon enough. It’s like a gingerbread cookie with less guilt. Plus it has the added bonus of caffeine! What more could you ask for?

And by the way, as this gingerbread-y goodness signals the beginning of Yuletide, I feel it is my duty to alert you that there are only 50 days until Christmas.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I am SO WITH YOU on the gingerbread lattes. It’s one of my favorite parts of Christmas – that and the guilt-free shopping. (If it’s for someone else, it doesn’t count, right?)

  • Rememeber when The Holiday Season didn’t start until you saw Santa at The End Of The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade?

Yeah. those were the days. *sigh*

  • Em says:

Definitely giving away my age here, but I look back fondly on the days when Christmas started AFTER Thanksgiving! This year, I was stunned that some stores replaced their back-to-school displays with artificial trees. Just not right.
