I had a sinus infection on a plane once and I developed INTENSE sinus pressure in my face during landing. I ended up crying the whole time because of the pain. The flight attendants took very hot steaming washclothes, stuck them in a cup and put the cup over my ears. The steam? Completely relieved the pressure. IT was a miracle!
